Make My Shave was born from a desire for a more sustainable shaver for women

Like so many women, I love a quick, easy, and cost-effective shave. What I don’t love is the amount of plastic that goes into landfills from disposable razors. Quite simply, it doesn’t make me feel good.

My other pet peeve is paying more for women’s razors — I don’t get why women have to pay more for the same product in pink!

This was the inspiration behind Make My Shave™ — a women’s razor subscription that provides solutions to shaving and environmental frustrations.

With the support of my awesome husband, we considered every aspect of what makes a great shaving experience while minimising the impact on the planet.

For the shaving part, we decided it was time to bring a little bit of glamour to women's razors, so we developed a gorgeous reusable razor with a 5-blade, Superlube head.

The soft aloe cushion is extra kind to curves and gives an ultra-smooth shave. Basically, it’s an AMAZING razor. 

For sustainability, our goal is to plant 1 million trees & save 1 million disposable razors from landfill; our big ambition is to shave the way to a better world by making it easy for women to reduce, reuse and recycle at home.

To help us and our customers achieve this, it was a ‘must’ to make tree planting part of our business model, and for used razor head recycling to be as easy as possible.

We didn't want customers to have the hassle of trying to find a recycling centre, so we decided to help close the loop by offering a recycling service.

We also invested in innovative planet-kind packaging. Setting a new benchmark, the packaging for our razor handle and heads is 100% plastic-free and home-compostable. It’s made in Australia and designed for a reduced carbon footprint.

Inspired by nature, Make My Shave is an Australian small business growing for good.
